The Distillery

At 186 Portobello Road lies The Distillery, a four-floor mecca for the discerning drinker. The first of its kind in the UK, not only a working distillery in the centre of London, but also the new home for the internationally-renowned Portobello Road gin and the critically acclaimed gin-blending experience, The Ginstitute, two bars, a private dining room, and three guest lodgings.

Eat IT Drink IT was privileged to be involved right from the drawing board of this project, acting as IT consultants overseeing the entire project. Working closely with the electrical contractors over 2000 metres of network cable was used to deliver some of the most advanced systems that Eat IT Drink IT have installed to date. Cutting edge digital CCTV boasting 5MP camera’s, remotely monitored and controlled door access systems that ensure no matter how many gin and tonics the guests enjoying the onsite lodgings have consumed they can always get back to their rooms. Digital VoIP phone systems, integrated multimedia systems controlled from iPads, WiFi throughout the building and of course ‘HotSpot’ client WiFi with data capture and analytics completed the offering here from Eat IT Drink IT.
